I have been a credentialed teacher in the Diocese of San Jose since 2010. Before coming to Saint Catherine’s, I taught 2nd grade at Saint Leo the Great near downtown San Jose. I am a born and raised Air Force kid that moved many times during my own educational journey, allowing me to experience and appreciate many cultures, states, and people.

I graduated from Texas State University with a degree and teaching credential in Early Childhood Education. I started my teaching career over 15 years ago teaching second and third grade in the Texas public school system. After spending some time at home raising my girls, we moved to California.

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my family exploring what this wonderful state has to offer. I can also be found crafting up a new decorative project or sitting outside enjoying the California sun.

As a teacher, my main goal is to teach children to be independent, life long learners. I strive to create an environment where children view school as a safe, caring place where they are excited about learning and want to do their personal best everyday.
