Summer work for 7th-8th

Dear Students and Parents,

Attached is your summer reading list. You need to constantly read all summer long in order to keep up your comprehension skills. We are making a change from the past. Instead of a summer packet with work, we are only asking that children read daily and work on ALEKS consistently throughout the summer. We also highly suggest that you buy your child a model and have them assemble it this summer. This is a great activity for building direction-following skills and will help them greatly with the engineering facet of 8 th grade science next year. Parents – please discuss the books your children are reading with them this summer. It is great dinner conversation and promotes reading comprehension.

Have a wonderful summer.

Tad Christopher

I am a graduate of San Jose State with a degree in recreation and a minor in business. I have been a science nut my whole life, and am delighted to share that love with my students. I switched majors multiple times throughout my academic career, so my knowledge is broadly applicable to the school of teaching. My hope is to instill the passion I have into my students and motivate them to pursue their own interests.
