A clear focus for the end of the 2019/20 school year and this year so far has been meeting the social, emotional and academic needs of our students and their families during this unprecedented pandemic. We have focused on raising student achievement in reading and growing general skills in all academic areas. In order to do this, we needed to increase our internet bandwidth to accommodate our robust programs. We experienced the need to provide students at all grade levels with Chromebooks, so they could participate in distance learning last spring and when the new school year began. Additionally, some extra tech equipment was needed in order to facilitate both distance and in-person learning at the same time. It has been a challenge we continue to meet. 

PTG fundraisers were awesome successes this past year! By the grace of God, we managed to slide in a successful Gala a little more than a week before starting the Shelter in Place. Our Walkathon again had extremely high participation levels. A HUGE thank you to all the chairpersons, committees and workers who made these events so fabulous! With so many restrictions for this year, we don’t know if we will be able to have our typical fundraisers which means we need your help even more.

Along with all these great successes on campus, we continue to promote the spiritual development of each student. Not only do students have regular religion classes, they also attend liturgies and prayer services, often virtually. We continue to encourage students to be good stewards of God’s creation by using the many blessings and talents God has bestowed on them. Our three priests visit classrooms on Zoom regularly reinforcing positive spiritual development. The students’ greatest gifts to God are using the gifts He has given them for the benefit of all.
